September 2008 will be remembered as the month of the Wall Street fall.
After Lehman Brothers, others major Financial Companies are facing a
huge crisis. After four days, the Dow closed up by more than 400 points
following a drop of almost 450 points in the midst of worldwide
financial turmoil. In morning trading of September 15, 2008, U.S.
stocks suffered a steep loss after news of Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc
was selling itself to Bank of America Corp and the financial firm
Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy
protection. At the end of the second week, Stocks opened lower as Wall
Street was waiting for Washington to complete a bailout plan for the
nation’s battered financial markets.
