I decided to be on National Mall the 20th of January 2009 because history is made by people. All those folks were the witnesses of this very unique moment. I wanted to photograph them. I wanted to be with them and share this moment.

November 4th, 2008, a wave of jubilation is sweeping the 125th Street in Harlem. The junior United States Senator from Illinois Barack Obama has been elected President of the United States, becoming the first African-American elevated to the White House.

Wall Street, the Fall – New york, September 2008

September 2008 will be remembered as the month of the Wall Street fall. After four days, the Dow closed up by more than 400 points following a drop of almost 450 points in the midst of worldwide financial turmoil.
