The Transmedia Symphony

We are going to see visionaries who understand the value of each media platform as if it’s a separate musical instrument, who’ll create symphonic narratives which leverage each of these multimedia platforms in a way that will create something we haven’t encountered yet.

I’ve read this morning, a very interesting post by Simon Staffans on his blog Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious enumerating 10 steps we should take to start a Transmedia project. To be totally honest, since I’m interested in Transmedia and looking for a way to use this « new » type of storytelling for photojournalism & web documentary projects, I’m thrilled by the tremendous potential of the technique. I warmly recommend you to read this post .

I.D : Simon Staffans is based in Finland and works mainly as a designer of cross and transmedia formats. He also does research into the material he develop, get published, does talks etc. He’s also looking closely at social media as well, and especially the connections between these tools and Transmedia storytelling.
